PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a distance precisely even regarding a long-distance object to be measured or an object to be measured, whose reflectance is low, in a distance-measuring apparatus in which signals are added by a ring-shaped CCD. SOLUTION: When a distance is measured regarding a long-distance object to be measured, whose signal by spot projected light is hard to obtain, or an object to be measured, whose reflectance is low, or when the luminance of external light is high, spot light by a projection means 104 is turned off, a skimming means 117, 118 are not operated, a signal change is made to go around at a ring CCD 113b and a ring CCD 114b, and a second processing operation in which the distance is measured, is performed without finding the difference between two sensor array signals. Thereby, the distance can be measured precisely even in a case like this. |
