FIELD: special electrometallurgy. SUBSTANCE: invention aims at manufacturing electrodes which are remelted into ingot by the aid of electroslag refining technique. Structure is distinguished with strong welding seam between ingot and reusable head with variable conductivity along the cross-section from periphery to central part of the seam. Such feature increases yield of valuable metal produce owing to improved quality of head part of built up electroslag ingot. Invention is based on the fact that conductivity of peripheral part is by 3-5 orders of magnitude less than that of reusable head metal. Seam is a composite layer, peripheral part of which is composed of slag- titanium mixture formed from a liquid flux with 2-10% of iron-free termite and is shaped as a ring with outer diameter equal to that of head, and with height and thickness within the range 0.02-0.10 diameter of reusable head welded to ingot. Inner part of seam is composed of crystallized metal of ingot and electrode of reusable head. EFFECT: improved yield of quality produce.
