Removable stanchion for railway goods wagon

The stanchion can be fitted to the external longitudinal bearers of the wagon chassis to secure the load. The rung (5) is held by upper and lower stay bolts (6, 7) in the upper and lower holed rails (1,3). It can be locked against the longitudinal bearer web (10) by a set screw (8) or an eccentric one (9). The rails to which the stanchion is attached by stay bolts may be adjustable sideways and in height in the longitudinal direction of the wagon. When the stanchion is locked to the longitudinal bearer web, it is held by projections on the stay bolts against being lifted out.
