PURPOSE:To provide a code synchronizing circuit excellent in a synchronization protecting characteristic. CONSTITUTION:This code synchronizing circuit is provided with a code error detecting circuit 100 for receiving a signal processed by a t(>=2)-fold error correcting encode which is sent from a transmitting side in digital transmission using a t-fold error correction code and executing the error detecting operation of the signal 11 in each code word, an M(t>=M>=2)-fold error detecting circuit 101 for detecting that an error-detected code word is an M-multiplied error or more, a selector 102a and a synchronization judging circuit 102b for judging code synchronization in accordance with the detection of an error in a code word at the time of judging code step-out, and at the time of judging code synchronization, judging the existence of code step-out in accordance with the detection of M-multiplied errors or more in the code word. |
