The transport system handles lightweight goods of large volume. The loading surface is, depending on the load requirements, firmly supported on the ground (4) or joined to a vehicle road frame (5) which can be slid under the loading surface. The loading surface is made as change-over platform (1) such that the platform can be lowered onto the vehicle frame using the lifting gear (10), and is then towed by a lightweight motor vehicle (8). The superstructure is formed as a container (2) which is carried by support legs (3) during the standing period.
