FIELD: mechanical engineering; hand electric arc gouging and cutting of metals in any branches of industry and in extreme situations for eliminating effects of accidents. SUBSTANCE: cutter has housing with clamping jaws in which electrode is secured by screw clamp, current conduit with fitted on handle and air conduit. Housing, clamping jaws and current conduit are water cooled and communicate hydraulically through current-carrying water cooled-tubes. Cutter is easy to manufacture, simple to operate and light-weight. Intensive water cooling of housing and jaws permits metal cutting by heavy currents, thus ensuring high speed and capacity.
