FIELD: aeronautical engineering; alighting gears; parachute landing on unprepared surface under wind conditions. SUBSTANCE: method consists in preliminary deployment of landing parachute after which parachute is rehooked for bringing the flying vehicle in horizontal landing position and flying vehicle is oriented by tail section forward in way of horizontal motion relative to the Earth. This protects the flying vehicle against upset around the line connecting the points of contact with the Earth by one footpad of main landing gear and footpad of nose landing gear.
