Bicycle with low slung frame and low saddle height

The bicycle(1) has a saddle height from which the seated rider's feet can reach the ground with the knees slightly bent. An extended chain drive(5,6) connects the axle(3) and the rear wheel(10) so that the axle lies on a line from the saddle at between 30 deg and 60 deg to the perpendicular to the ground. A turning moment sensitive drive may be achieved by choice of drive sprocket(4), and front(8) and back(10) wheels of different diameters, and a sprung rear wheel arm(12). The frame stiffness is provided by an integral rear seat(16) or luggage frame.
