Head support accommodation mechanism for vehicle seat

Head support mechanism having a seat (14) with a seat cushion (20) movable about a point of rotation (28) and a back rest (22) movable about a shaft (42). A head support (24) is detachably fitted to the back rest and has a pair of downwardly extending holding rods (46). A head support accommodation space (48) is defined between the seat cushion and the back rest. A pair of arms (50) supports the head support in a given position when the seat cushion is raised forwards. The head support may be held through the arms and pressed through the back rest, if the head support is supported on the arms. There may be a vehicle carriage (10) and a mounting, for instance a covering (26), arranged on the carriage. The seat cushion may be turnable, and angled, about the carriage.
