The combustion cavity has two compression gaps between the piston and the cylinder head, and a fuel injection jet. Groove-like flat or closed channels (47,49) are made in the combustion cavity contour, starting from the compression zone of the combustion space, with a correction component, in and or against or across the injection direction. These channels may be made in the piston (3), leading from the valve troughs (46). They may run from the outer compression gaps to the valve troughs.
