FIELD: plastic metal working. SUBSTANCE: gear to feed billet into die includes carriage with mechanism to clamp billet and higher mounted for reciprocating movement in direction of feed of billet and kinematically coupled with levers to mobile plate of die. Gear also has additional carriage with hinge mounted for reciprocating movement in direction of travel of mobile plate and loaded with spring against it over part of this travel. One ends of two levers arranged at constant angle are interjoined for their simultaneous turn and other ends of levers are manufactured for longitudinal movement in hinges of two mentioned carriages. EFFECT: increased length of billet fed into die over insufficient section of travel of die, expanded technological capabilities of manufacture of complex articles under automatic mode of operation of die. 5 dwg
