FIELD: mechanical engineering; multiple cylinder internal combustion diesel and carburetor engines. SUBSTANCE: combustion chambers of one group of cylinders are connected in pairs by gas duct with combustion chambers of other groups of cylinders. Pistons of these cylinder groups are displaced in phase relative to each other through 15-25 deg of crankshaft. Gas ducts are arranged tangentially relative to inner surface of combustion chambers. Inner space of gas duct is made in the form of two-sided de Laval nozzle. Phase of sharp pressure rise after ignition of charge in one group of cylinders occurs with relay and in other group of cylinders, with advance relative to top dead center. Electrodes (cathode and anode) are placed in gas duct space for connection to high-frequency high-voltage current source at working stroke of pistons. EFFECT: increased economy, reduced pollution. |
