<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set optimum operating frequency according to the constitution of a multiprocessor system for which various forms are required. SOLUTION: In this multiprocessor system in which an optional number of processors can be mounted on a processor bus 21, a processor mounting state detection device 40 detects the processor that is mounted on the bus 21 and notifies it of the optimum operating frequency according to its mounting state, and a variable oscillator 30 varies its oscillation frequency in response to the operating frequency notified by the device 40 and supplies the clock signals to an I/F device 20 and the detected processor.</p> |
