PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the information amount and to enable the reading with an area sensor by arraying plural bars including a bar having a first side of a straight line and the second side which is a straight line and has a prescribed angle to the first side. SOLUTION: The characters of 1.5-dimensional bar codes ab, ac, ba, ca, bc and cb have shapes having a first side of a straight line and second sides b and c of straight lines having prescribed angles to the first side a. Namely, a character ac of a vertical triangle can be composed by combining the straight line a and an oblique line c. In the same way, characters ac and ca of the vertical triangles can be composed by combining the straight line a and the oblique line c. Further, a character cb of an isosceles triangle can be composed by combining the oblique line c and an oblique line b. Thus, six kinds of bar code patterns can be expressed by combining the first side a and the second sides b and c having the prescribed angles to the first side a. |
