PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a service disable state of the user by detecting a fault occurred in part of a center equipment in real time on the occurrence of it. SOLUTION: On the occurrence of a fault in a center equipment, when no reply comes from a center computer within a preset time, a microprocessor 13d regards it that the fault takes place in the center equipment. In this case, the microprocessor 13a inhibits a request of a program or the like from the user to receive the service of a general broadcast sent from the center equipment based on re-transmission reception information stored in a retransmission broadcast information memory 13m. Thus, even on the occurrence of the fault in the center equipment, it is prevented that the user cannot receive the service entirely. Furthermore, the microprocessor 13d inquires about fault restoration periodically to detect immediately the restoration of the fault and returns quickly to the on demand service. |
