PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent securely a leakage of ink from an opening such as an ink-filling opening, by fusing and integrating an edge round the opening of an ink cartridge and a stopper inserted into the opening, thereby sealing the opening. SOLUTION: An ink injection opening is pressed into an ink-filling opening 101, and a specific amount of ink is injected under pressure. The ink injection opening is then pulled out from the ink-filling opening 101. Subsequently a stopper 102 is pressed and fitted into the opening 101. A welding horn 103 is moved down along the center line of the ink-filling opening 101, and torsion vibration is started. Consequently part of the stopper 102, which is in contact with the front end 104 of the welding horn 103 produces frictional heat, so that it melts. Then, the stopper 102 is melted by the front end of the welding horn 103 and it is fused to the inside of the ink-filling opening 101 by frictional heat produced by the middle part 105 of the welding horn 103 vibrating in the form of torsion. |
