PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive open wrench which can be used easily and is provided with simple structure. SOLUTION: An upper jaw part in an open wrench is constructed of a rotational block 2, in which the lower end part, is journalled to a main body part 1 with an axis 6 of rotation so as to be rotated freely, and when a center part O of the nut 4 is set as a center, a phase angleθmade by a point A of application, which applies rotational force to a nut 4 in the lower end part of the rotational block 2, and the axis 6 of rotation is established when the position of the axis 6 of rotation is delayed behind that of the point A of application in the clockwise direction.
