MATERIAL FOR FORMING BLUE IMAGE AND COLOR FILTER HAVING CURED MATERIAL OF THE SAME AS CONSTITUTING COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a color filter having excellent chroma and light transparency especially in a blue color and capable of producing a color display having a high minuteness and a low electric power consumption by using a material for forming a blue color image suitable to produce an improved color filter having a chroma and a light transparency in the blue color. SOLUTION: This material for forming a blue color image contains a photo- sensitive resin and a pigment, and a mixture ofα-copper phthalocyanin blue andε-copper phthalocyanin blue is used as a body of the blue pigment and the ratio of the components is made as (10/90)-(95/5) (weight ratio). A color filter is prepared by curing the material for forming a blue color image to form picture elements.
