PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the influence of a disturbance such as a mechanical or electric noise or the like and to enhance the accuracy of the obtained weight of a running vehicle. SOLUTION: In order to find an axial load function which approximates continuous measured data D1 to D11 obtained by a load cell or the like installed on a running road surface, it is required to find parameters such as a frequencyω, an amplitude (a), a phaseϕand the like. When three parameters are required, an axial load function F2 is found by simultaneous equations of three expressions using three data D5 to D7. On the other hand, the more data D1 to D11 are used, various parameters are found by a repetitive computation which is continued until the data are converged, and an axial load function F1 is found. Thereby, the influence of a noise is reduced, and the accuracy of a method and an apparatus is enhanced.
