PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the degradation of durability of an electrified object and peripheral scattering of magnetic particulates to constitute a magnetic brush or the like by electrifying an electrified object surface by bringing a magnetic brush roller, where voltage is impressed on the electrified object, into contact with a specific position. SOLUTION: This electrifying device impresses prescribed DC voltage on a conductive coat layer 23 from an electrifying bias impressing power source S through a slidingly rubbing electrode by rotationally driving a magnetic brush 19 of conductive magnetic particulates having a resistance value of 10<4> to 10<6>Ωin relation to a photosensitive drum (an electrified object) 6 of an injection electrification type. Therefore, the photosensitive drum 6 receives uniform electrification having the same electric potential with impression DC voltage to an electric charge injection layer 6C in a tip part of the magnetic brush 19. Here, an angle A formed by gravity directional force Fg acting on the conductive magnetic particulates constituting the magnetic brush 19 of a contact central part between a magnetic brush roller 22 and the photosensitive drum 6 and magnetic attraction force Fm acting in the magnetic force acting direction, is arranged so as to fall within a range of 0 deg.<A<90 deg., preferably, 10 deg.<A<45 deg..
