PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a storage battery separator at low cost under the good working environment without the use of an organic solvent. SOLUTION: Polyolefin resin, inorganic powder, and micropore forming powder comprising organic or inorganic powder soluble in acid or water are mixed, and the mixed powder is melted and extruded to form a sheet. The micropore forming powder is eluted from the sheet into the acid or water to form a porous sheet. Since the porous sheet is formed by eluting the micropore forming powder with the acid or water to form micropores, an organic solvent is unnecessary. The working environment is kept good, and the work and facility for recovering the waste solvent are unnecessary, and the separator is manufactured at low cost. |
