A fitting (101) for a lamp and reflector (105), comprising: a frame assembly (107), one end (107b) of which is in use connected to a reflector (105); a member (133) disposed to the frame assembly (107) to which a lamp is in use mounted, said member being axially displaceable; and a position setting element (149) coupled to said lamp support member (133); wherein said frame assembly (107) is provided with at least one detent (190) or a plurality of spaced openings (175) and said position setting element (149) includes the other of the at least one detent (190) or the plurality of spaced openings (175); whereby axial positioning of the lamp support member (133) in relation to the frame assembly (107) is effected by movement of the position setting element (149) and locating the at least one detent (190) in one of the plurality of spaced openings (175).
