The connection saddle (1) is fitted in a sealed manner to the outside of the pipe (2) around a connection hole (3) in the pipe wall. The pipe piece is connected to an outlet pipe (4). Via the closure cap (11), an introduction component (27) with a sleeve (28) is fitted on the connection hole so that the sleeve closes it. The connection saddle is then removed and a replacement saddle is fitted so that the introduction component works in conjunction with it in a sealed manner. The introduction component with the sleeve is then removed.
