The fire-fighting device (1) comprises at least one unit, which incorporates a non pressure-tight extinguishing medium container (2). It also has a pressure gas container (7) with a cut-off valve (13). There is a pressure conduit (8) between the pressure gas container and the spray nozzle (10). The pressure conduit is so combined with an aperture (19) of the extinguishing medium container, that the pressure gas flowing through the pressure conduit creates a vacuum in the extinguishing medium container which sucks up the medium. The cut-off valve of the pressure gas container can be operated by remote control.
