A wire cut electric discharge machining device comprising a work tank (31) accommodating a work piece (8), a wire cutting device (11) provided in the work tank for cutting into small pieces wire electrodes used to generate discharging in a gap formed between a wire electrode (3) and the work piece, a container (12) provided outside the work tank for collecting small pieces of wire, and a flexible guide tube (13) connected to the wire cutting device at one end (13A) and oriented to the container at the other end (13B). The small pieces of wire are moved into the container carried by the flow of fluid (15) introduced into the guide tube. The container includes a filter (12A) for separating the small pieces of wire from the fluid. |
