METHOD FOR TREATING ALCOHOLIC LIVER DISEASE

A method for the inhibition and amelioration of alcoholic liver disease in a mammal in need of such treatment by administering novel analogs of Lipid A which act as endotoxin antagonists. These antagonists compounds are found to inhibit the swift increase in alcohol metabolism which typically accompanies ingestion of alcohol and which may lead to the pathophysiological abnormalities associated with alcoholic liver disease.
