A device (5) integrated into the container is used to expand a web of unexpanded cellular material (23) pulled through it. The device has a hexahedral-shaped tube with a wide open base (8) and a narrow open tip opposite it, so that a tapered rectangular passage is formed between the two ends of the tube. The unexpanded material enters the tube through the wide base and then exits through the narrow tip, and as it becomes compressed and stretched in its cross and length directions respectively, converting it into expanded material. |
