This invention relates to a combination piston compression ring, which comprises a main compression ring element and at least one auxiliary compression ring element. The main compression ring element has a larger outer diameter than that of the auxiliary compression ring element, so that the radial tensions of both the main and the auxiliary compression ring elements are different. In the case of the piston operating, both the main and the auxiliary compression ring elements are firmly pressed on each other, so that both the contact area between the compression ring and the cylinder wall and the mechanical consumption of the compression ring have been reduced, while the duration of the compression ring has been increased. |
