THERMOPLASTIC ELASTOMER COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermoplastic elastomer composition excellent in flexibility and useful as a substitute for flexible vinyl chlorides by dynamically heat- treating a specific olefin copolymer and a crosslinkable rubber in the presence of a crosslinking agent for rubber. SOLUTION: (A) 1-99wt.% of an olefin block copolymer comprising the blocks of a crystalline olefin polymer of 2 or more carbon atoms and the blocks of an amorphous olefin copolymer of 2 or more carbon atoms and (B) 1-99wt.% of a crosslinkable rubber, preferably a (halogenated) isobutylene-isoprene copolymer rubber and/or an ethylene-α-olefin-(diene) copolymer rubber and/or an acrylonitrile-butadiene copolymer rubber (where the components A+B=100wt.%) are dynamically heat-treated in the presence of a crosslinking agent for rubber. In addition, 1-98wt.% of the component A, 1-98wt.% of the component B and (C) 1-98wt.% of a hydrogenated diene copolymer or its functional group modifier are heat-treated as stated above (where the total of components A, B and C is 100%).
