PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prepreg for printed wiring board, the type and directional property of which can be readily distinguished from the surface and the side, by adding a specific identification mark onto the edge face of the prepreg. SOLUTION: The prepreg for printed wiring board is prepared by adding a color-dependent identification mark 3 onto the edge face of a prepreg 1. The color-dependent identification mark added onto the edge face of the prepreg is a dotted or linear identification mark, or preferably a proper combination thereof. The color-dependent identification mark added is preferably applied to a fixed position relative to the fiber direction of the prepreg. The color- dependent identification mark is set by means of inks and the like. Preferred inks used are oily inks. Inks of dark colors are preferably used. Further, it is favorable to use inks that hardly spread from the prepreg edge into the surroundings when they are used in the mark. |
