PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of restraining simultaneous rotation and the variation of a developing gap to the minimum and preventing irregular image density pitch from occurring by without controlling the deflection of a developing roller to be extremely small. SOLUTION: This developing device is equipped with two developing rollers for forming a magnetic brush 15 and 16 arranged in parallel in the moving direction of a latent image carrier. A relative phase difference between the peculiar points of the rollers 15 and 16 in a peripheral direction is set. It is conceivable to set the relative phase difference between the peak points of the fluctuation of the rollers 15 and 16. Furthermore, the relative phase difference between the peak points of the fluctuation of the rollers 15 and 16 is set to '0' or set to (I×Vs/Vp)/(2πr)×360 deg.-180 deg. assuming I: a distance between developing areas on the latent image carrier, Vs: the linear velocity of the developing roller, Vp: the linear velocity on the latent image carrier, (r): the radius of the developing roller. |
