PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain power from excessively consumed and to prevent excessive cooling so as to secure fixing ability by detecting the temperature change of a heating part in the case a recording material does not exist, judging the warming-up condition of the device and controlling a cooling fan. SOLUTION: The output from a thermistor 65 provided on a heater 63 is A/D converted to be fetched to a CPU 10, and power for energizing the heater 63 by means of a triac 11 is controlled based on the information. When printing command is inputted at stand-by time, the heater 63 rises by the energizing of the rated power of 700W, and when the detection temperature of the thermistor 65 reaches 165 deg.C, the energizing is switched to the constant power of 500W. The time when the detection temperature of the thermistor 65 is from 170 deg.C to 180 deg.C is measured, the temperature of the heater 63 is set and also the output of the cooling fan 7 is controlled according to a table in which the correlation values of measured time, rising speed, set temperature and fan output are stipulated based on the measured result. |
