PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the expansion card input/output controller which can considerably reduce overflow or underflow of the input/output buffer of a PC card. SOLUTION: The large-capacity input/output buffer of the PC card is provided in a PC system by a CPU 1, a system bus 4 which can be accessed from the CPU, a PC card bus bridge 10 connected to the system bus 4, a means which accesses a PC card 13, a memory 22 connected to the system bus 4, a means which is accessed from the memory 22 through the system bus 4, and a means which accesses the memory 22 from the PC card 13 without passing the system bus, thus considerably reducing overflow or underflow of the buffer. |
