摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten time required for the reception of signals of GPS satellites and the location of positions by providing an orbit data acquisition means being connectable freely to an onboard GPS apparatus to acquire GPS satellite orbit data in separation. SOLUTION: A GPS receiving section 12 receives and encodes a signals from GPS satellites through a GPS antenna 10. An ECU 16 calculates the positions of GPS satellites and the distance to the receiving section 12 from the satellite using time information and detailed orbit information in first-third sub frames of the signals of at least four GPS satellities received by the receiving section 12 to locate the latitude and longitude and altitude of the receiving section 12. Rough orbit information of all the satellities acquired from the fourth-fifth sub-frames of the received signals is stored into a memory section 18. A PC card as orbit data acquisition means is, for example, constituted of an FM multiplexed data broad cast device or a GPS receiver and the rough orbit information of all the satellites acquired during the application is stored into a memory section 18.
