<p>Plant-microbicidal compositions which comprise, as active ingredient, a β-lactam of the general formula (I), in which R is hydrogen; unsubstituted or substituted C1-C8alkyl, C3-C8alkenyl or C3-C8alkynyl; a group COR3; a group COOR4; a group SO2R5; and R1 and R2 independently of one another can be identical or different and are hydrogen; unsubstituted or substituted C1-C8alkyl, C2-C8alkenyl or C2-C8alkynyl; halogen; C1-C4alkoxy; C2-C4alkenyloxy; C2-C4alkynyloxy; or C1-C4alkoxycarbonyl; and R3 is hydrogen; unsubstituted or substituted ; C1-C8alkyl, C3-C8alkenyl or C3-C8alkynyl; and R4 is unsubstituted or substituted C1-C8alkyl, C3-C8alkenyl or C3-C8alkynyl; and R5 is unsubstituted or substituted C1-C8alkyl, C3-C8alkenyl, C3-C8alkynyl; amino; C1-C8alkylamino or C1-C8dialkylamino. These compositions are valuable microbicides. They can be employed in crop protection for example for controlling fungal diseases. The invention also relates to novel β-lactams of the formula (I).</p> |
