FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: hydroponic plant has grain troughs, grain moistening system, system for maintaining temperature within the range of 16-28 C and illumination system. Hydroponic plant is provided with luminescent lamps having intensity ranging between 610-670 and 400-470 nm to provide for increased content of vitamin E and carotene. Usage of grains germinated in such hydroponic plant allows valuable vitamins A and E to be substituted in combined feeds for broilers without substantial adverse effect on productivity. Grains germinated in hydroponic plant may be added into full value combined feed for hens to increase productivity and egg quality. EFFECT: increased biological value of grain by intensified accumulation of vitamin E and carotene in it and improved quality of eggs. 5 tbl
