A motor vehicle seat includes a back rest which has at least one inflatable air cushion behind the upholstery, which enables the back rest contours to be changed. The cushion is supported on a pressure transfer element and sprung core section. The pressure transfer element is located between the cushion and the sprung core, and consists of a flexible textile material, esp. a felt. The cushion pref. consists of polyurethane film. ADVANTAGE - The seat contours can be altered without changing the spring support and therefore heat comfort.
