The receiver includes an oscillator (3,4) which generates a signal at an oscillator frequency, corresponding to an oscillator control signal. The receiver receives a radio signal at a tuned frequency corresponding to the oscillation signal for the received signal demodulation. The receiver contains a first frequency control loop system (13-15), that generates a first control signal which indicates a phase difference between a comparison signal and a reference signal. A second frequency control loop system (16-18) generates a second control signal which indicates the difference between the oscillation frequency and the channel selection frequency. A selective control signal is then fed to the oscillator.
