<p>A method for attaching a surface of a bicomponent polyurethane resin (PU) to a polymer surface by placing a thin layer of plasticizer between the polymer surface and the resin surface and performing a pressing step to incorporate plasticizer into the polyurethane being formed. Smart card structures produced by means of the method are also disclosed.</p>
