The gear installation is for a rotary sheet printing press. The gear wheels are fitted on arms on the paper guide cylinders. They are endface gear wheels with angled teeth. Adjacent ones are engaged with each other to form a closed gear train. The gear wheels (11) have conical teeth (13). The paper guide cylinders (7, 10) can be moved axially. The gear wheels can move axially on their arms (12). One of the cylinders (7) is a pressure cylinder.
