The support surface (18) rests on a lifting element (22) on at least two opposite facing sides. A lifting element is placed on a base plate (12) under all four sides of the support surface. The lifting elements are separately operated and have a shared control (34). The control is connected to an acoustic receiver (38) by which the lifting elements are operated by the control. The lifting elements consist of pneumatically or hydraulically operated cylinders (26) each of which has a tension spring.
