A stanchion (4) for use in a floating scaffold (2) of an off-shore fish preserve (1). The stanchions (4) are provided at intervals along a direction in which the floating scaffold (2) extends, and support a fish preserve side net (f) which hangs into water. The stanchion has a pipe-shaped body, which is curved, from a longitudinally intermediate portion thereof to an end thereof above the water surface, towards an inside of a limited area of water of the fish preserve. The stanchion also includes an installation portion which is a band (11) wrapped in a peripheral direction around the floating scaffold (2) by undergoing elastic deformation such that the band is fixed to the floating scaffold by both ends (7,8) thereof being fastened together by a bolt/nut fastening (9). Another end of the pipe-shaped body is fastened to the installation portion. Moreover, the stanchion (4) has reinforcing members (14) for reinforcing a fixing of the pipe-shaped body and the installation portion and for preventing damage to and breakage of the fish preserve side net (f) at a bolt/nut fastening position of the installation portion. <IMAGE> |
