The circuit for performing switching of PIP in digital includes a 1st image decoder(11A) decoding compressed main image signal, a 2nd image decoder(11B) decoding variable length encoded sub image signal, a circuit(12) interpolating or attenuating image data according window size signal, a memory(13) storing output of the circuit(12), a switch circuit(14) synthesizing main and sub image signal, a generator(16) providing address signal for sub image data to the memory, and a generator(17) providing tuning signal to the circuit(14) and generator(16). |
