<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a shape guaranteeing method for supplying a steel plate having good shape at the time of cutting off by predicting the generation of the shape deformation at the time of cutting off based on a residual stress distribution in the inner part of the steel plate and applying heat treatment in a condition decided based on the residual stress. SOLUTION: In a method for controlling a shape variating quantity at the time of cutting off the steel plate executing acceleratingly cooling after quenching or hot-rolling, the residual stress of the steel plate is estimated and also, the shape varying quantity at the time of cutting off is predicted based on this residual stress. It is judged whether this shape variated quantity exceeds the permissible quantity or not, and in the case of exceeding the permissible quantity, the heat treatment is applied in the condition decided based on the residual stress and the permissible quantity of the steel plate.</p> |
