<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and accurately mount a press ring with no danger accompanied by pressing a seal member in place between a socket and a spigot by the press ring, and concurrently inserting the screw part of a bolt into the bolt hole of the press ring. SOLUTION: A second plate 23 on which a press ring setter 42 is mounted, is drawn to a first plate 21 with a cylinder device 22 actuated. The drawing motion as mentioned above causes the press ring 10 together with the press ring setter 42 to be approached to the flange 7 of a socket 2. At this time, a seal member 9 is pressed by the press ring 10 so as to be pressed in a space between the pressure contact surface 5 of a seal member and the outer circumferential surface of a spigot 4. Besides, the screw part of a T-head bolt 15 is inserted into the bolt hole 11 of the press ring 10, and is furthermore projected out of the press ring 10. Thus as mentioned above, when the screw part of the T-head bolt is inserted into the bolt hole 11, a nut is coaxially located over the screw part of the T-head bolt 15. By this constitution, the nut held by a socket 70 is thereby threadedly engaged with the screw part of the T-head bolt 15.</p> |
