PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic device with which sound ray echo for a long time is enabled by using an echo data storage means having a lower write/read data rate in comparison with that of sound ray echo data. SOLUTION: The sound ray echo data are recorded through a compressing means 9 into an echo data storage means 10 and, when reading the sound ray echo data out of the echo data storage means 10, these data are outputted after the inverse transformation of compressing transformation performed at the compressing means 9 is performed by an expanding means 11.
