AQUEOUS DISPERSION OF BIODEGRADABLE RESIN COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare an aqueous dispersion of a biodegradable resin composition, useful in fields such as papermaking, nonwoven fabrics and adhesives by stably dispersing a base polymer made of a specified biodegradable resin and optionally subsidiary materials in water. SOLUTION: This aqueous dispersion of a biodegradable resin composition is prepared by stably dispersing a biodegradable resin composition containing a base polymer substantially made of a waterinsoluble starch type biodegradable resin. The starch type biodegradable resin is desirably a starch ester having a 2-18C ester group hydrocarbon and a degree of esterification of 1.0 or above. The starch ester is desirably the one prepared by using a vinyl ester as the esterification reagent. The starch type biodegradable resin is desirably an esterified vinyl-ester-grafted starch.
