A coupling having a sliding sealing member abutment (32a) and including a sliding sleeve (32) comprising said abutment and arranged behind a valve. Locking and return means (35, 40, 41, 60, 61, 62) engage said sleeve to return the abutment to the forward position. Said sleeve (32) is generally tubular and the abutment is defined by the front surface (32a) thereof. Furthermore, a sliding abutment element (3) includes a second sliding sleeve (33) located ahead of the first sleeve (32) and having an external diameter that corresponds, after allowing for clearance, with the internal diameter of the body (22), and the front end of said second sleeve (33) forms the valve sealing member (45) and includes holes (47) provided immediately behind said sealing member (45) to enable the fluid to flow therethrough, whereas the rear end of said sleeve (33) is shaped for engagement with the surface (32a) of the sleeve (32) comprising said abutment.
