FIELD: knitting equipment. SUBSTANCE: flat machine has rotary drive and driven guides, flexible tie-rod embracing drive and driven guides and carriage connected with tie-rod through connecting unit. Rotary drive guide is connected to engine through transmission and is provided with cylindrical working surface. Both ends of flexible tie-rod are attached to cylindrical working surface of guide and a portion of tie-rod in wound on this surface. Flexible tie-rod forms two branches positioned between rotary guides so that one branch may run onto drive guide while other branch runs off from this guide. Cylindrical surface is provided with helical groove for receiving a portion of flexible tie-rod. Points of attachment of tie-rod to working surface are spaced along axis of drive guide. Ends of tie-rod are inserted through radial openings connecting working and end surfaces of guide and secured by threaded fastening members on end surface remote from transmission. Flexible tie-rod is made in the form of cable. Unit for fastening carriage to flexible tie-rod has two parts, with one part being provided with slot and other part with mating projection. One of parts is secured to carriage. Tie-rod is clamped between surfaces of slot and projection. EFFECT: increased efficiency and enhanced reliability in operation. 15 cl, 10 dwg |
