The device (1) has a screw (2) to attach a part (6) to a holder, and a holder element (7) to hold the screw captive. Screw and element are located on or in a sleeve (3). The sleeve is fitted into the part, before this is attached to the holder. The holder element consists of a ring washer which is made of elastic material, which clamps the screw thread with its inner diameter. The diameter of the outer washer is dimensioned, so that it can be pushed over a constriction in the interior of the sleeve, to engage on a shoulder (8) between the constriction and the normal diameter of the sleeve.
